World's Biggest Lockdown #StayHomeStaySafe

The number of people suffering from the disease in India touched 11,555 & deaths topped 396 as on 15th April 2020 @ 02:00PM (IST), according to Worldometer.

#StayHomeStaySafe: The extended nationwide lockdown in India is now referred as the world biggest lockdown in order to  prevent the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The lockdown that came into effect on March 25 was to expire on midnight of April 14.


PM Narendra Modi extended the coronavirus lockdown in India until 3rd of May and will also keep a keen eye on hotspots, possible hotspots and prevent the spread of creation of new hotspots. The Prime Minister also pointed out Seven things that will help in curbing the Coronavirus spread that every Indian has to follow during the lockdown.

For the next one week, India will enforce stricter measures to contain the virus. Only those districts which are able to manage to stay coronavirus free, may see some easing of restrictions after April 20, but PM Modi warned that if a case comes up after the rules are easened, then a complete lockdown will be enforced again.

"Till April 20, each police station, each district, each state will be monitored closely to see whether the lockdown is being followed and if that area has saved itself from the virus"
