2022 Triumph Tiger 1200: Check price, specifications, features and every other details

British bikemaker Triumph has launched the 2022 version of its flagship adventure motorcycle Tiger 1200 in India today.

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200: Variants

  • The 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 will be available in four variants: Rally Pro, GT Pro, Rally Explorer, and GT Explorer.

 

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200: Design

  • The 2022 Triumph Tiger 1200 comes with a redesigned front profile, featuring a sleeker LED headlamp, a horizontal LED daytime running light, and a "masculine" fuel tank. As far as braking is concerned, the bike has twin 320 mm floating discs at the front with Brembo M4.30 Stylema monoblock radial callipers and a single 282 mm disc with a Brembo single-piston calliper at the rear. The Pro variants feature a 20-litre fuel tank, while Explorer variants have a larger, 30-litre fuel tank.

 

2022 Triumph Tiger 1200: Performance

  • The motorcycle is powered by a 1,160cc inline three-cylinder engine with a T-plane firing order. It creates 150 hp of power at 9,000 RPM and 130 Nm of peak torque 7,000 RPM. A six-speed manual gearbox supports the engine.


2022 Triumph Tiger 1200: Colour options

  • Triumph offers four colour options for the 2022 Tiger 1200. They are Sapphire Black, Snowdonia White, Matt Khaki Green, and Lucerne Blue.

Triumph Trident 660 is a bike available at a starting price of Rs. 6,95,000 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 4 colors. The Trident 660 is powered by 660cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 80 bhp and a torque of 64 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Triumph Trident 660 comes up with anti-locking braking system.

The Trident 660 has been designed and built for easy rideability, combined with entertaining performance, as well as accurate handling and balance.

The Trident features a distinctive roadster styling that is modern yet boasts certain retro-inspired elements such as a round headlamp and instrument cluster. It also incorporates a circular fuel tank with deep recesses and a floating tail with a single-piece seat. Just like most Triumphs, the Trident is as modern as it can get in terms of gizmos with full-LED lighting and a digital console. It also gets a ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, and two riding modes – Road and Rain.

Triumph Trident 660 2021 STD

Powering the Trident is a 660cc, inline triple-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which is capable of dishing out 79.8bhp at 10,250rpm and 64Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm. Transmission duties are carried out by a six-speed gearbox that can be accompanied by an optional quick shifter. It is based on a tubular steel perimeter frame and rides on 17-inch cast-aluminum alloy wheels shod with Michelin Road 5 tyres. Damping duties are handled by upside-down forks and a monoshock, while speed shedding is done by a pair of 310mm twin discs for the front and a 255mm single disc at the back – both held on by Nissin calipers.
