Xiaomi-backed wearable brand Huami launched its Amazfit GTR smartwatch in India for Rs 10,999.

 

Equipped with 24 days battery life, 1.39-inch AMOLED display, Corning Gorilla 3 tempered glass with anti-fingerprint coating, GTR 47.2 mm standard edition comes in exciting variations titanium, stainless steel and aluminum alloy.

 

It features characteristics like BioTracker PPG optical heart rate sensor, 6-axis acceleration sensor, 3-axis Geomagnetic sensor, Pressure sensor, Ambient Light sensor, 50 meters water-resistant, app notifications, incoming calls, others.

Along with new iPhones and iPad, Apple also introduced Apple Watch Series 5 with always-on display Retina display.

Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS) starts at Rs. 40,900, while the Apple Watch Series 5 (GPS + Cellular) starts at Rs. 49,900. It will go on sale in India from September 27.

Apple Watch Series 5 is available in a wider range of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, ceramic and an all-new titanium. The new watch comes with watchOS 6, and will be available in two sizes of cases – 44mm and 40mm.

The 10.7mm thick smartwatch is powered by Apple’s new 64-bit dual-core S5 processor, and offers 32GB of storage. The 44mm display has a resolution of 368×448 pixels, while the 40mm display has a resolution of 324×394 pixels

 Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Mi A3 in India on 21st August 2019.

Xiaomi newly launched Xiaomi Mi A3 is based on the Android One platform, the phone boasts a 48-megapixel primary camera in the triple-camera set-up on the back, AMOLED screen with in-display fingerprint sensor, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back, and support for fast charge.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 has a curved glass body with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back, and a metallic chassis sandwiched in between. A pair of 1972 running shoes, one of the first pairs made by Nike, sold for $437,500, shattering the record for a pair of sneakers at public auction.

The so-called Nike’s ‘Moon Shoe,’ designed by Nike co-founder and track coach Bill Bowerman for runners at the 1972 Olympics trials, was the top lot in the first-ever auction dedicated to sneakers at Sotheby’s auction house in New York.

The handmade “Moon Shoe,” with a waffle sole pattern, was one of only 12 pairs ever made and the pair that were auctioned are the only ones known to exist in an unworn condition.

The buyer was Canadian investor and car collector Miles Nadal, who had previously paid $850,000 for 99 other pairs of rare or limited collection sneakers offered by Sotheby’s.

The Mini Rocketman will be an ultra-compact electric vehicle based on the Rocketman Concept that was first displayed way back in 2011.

BMW MINI has designed a new vehicle, measuring just 11 feet in length. Considered to be the smallest vehicle designed by the reputed company, the new ‘Mini Rocketman’ concept has been showcased at the Geneva Motor Show 2011.

Mini started off as a compact economy hatchback produced by the British Motor Corporation in 1959. Electric vehicles are the future and Mini needed to develop an electric car if it wanted to stay in the game.

The three-door vehicle boasts 3 seats, with an optional door to add to the rear. The flexible truck capacity splits the car rear door into 2 parts: a top segment connected to the roof that can be raised upwards, a lower component that extends outwards, just like a drawer. The car’s gates are double-hinged and slides forward and out, to provide effortless entry and exit in close quarters.

The report claims the electric Rocketman could be revealed in 2022.

The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro in red is priced at Rs. 19.99 lakh (ex-showrooom), while a new color option, Sand, is priced at Rs. 20.23 lakh (ex-showroom).

The motorcycle is designed to traverse continents, and hence, is equipped with top drawer components to enhance its off-road and touring capabilities.

The Multistrada 1260 is the latest addition to the Enduro family and is powered by the same 1,262cc twin that produces 158.3hp at 9,500rpm and 128Nm of torque at 7,500rpm.

The Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro gets wire-spoke wheels in a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear configuration. It comes with Ride By Wire and four riding modes – Sport, Touring, Urban, and Enduro. It has an electronic semi-active Sachs suspension (with 185 mm of travel at both front and rear) and a 30-litre fuel tank which is claimed to offer more than 450 km range.

All the new & advanced electronics and other connectivity features can be easily accessed via a 5-inch, full-color TFT display and the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS). The DMS connects the bike to the rider’s smartphone via Bluetooth, giving access to all key multimedia functions (incoming calls, text messaging, music).

India withdraws 'Most Favoured Nation' status given to Pakistan

India withdraws 'Most Favoured Nation' status given to Pakistan

India has withdrawn the 'Most Favoured Nation' status granted to Pakistan in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack in which more than 40 CRPF jawans were martyred.

Union Minister Arun Jaitley said that the government has decided to withdraw the "Most Favoured Nation" status given to Pakistan, in the wake of the worst-ever terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir a day ago when a CRPF convoy in Pulwama was rammed into by an explosive-packed SUV that has left 45 troopers dead.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the suicide attack on Thursday that proved to be the most devatating since militancy erupted in 1989.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Arun Jaitley said: "The most favoured nation status which has been granted to Pakistan stands withdrawn with immediate effect."

What is 'Most Favoured Nation' status?

• Under the WTO agreements, countries cannot normally discriminate between their trading partners. Grant someone a special favour (such as a lower customs duty rate for one of their products) and you have to do the same for all other WTO members.
• This principle is known as most-favoured-nation (MFN) treatment. It is so important that it is the first article of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), which governs trade in goods. MFN is also a priority in the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) (Article 2) and the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) (Article 4), although in each agreement the principle is handled slightly differently. Together, those three agreements cover all three main areas of trade handled by the WTO.

When did India grant MFN status to Pakistan?

• India granted MFN status to Pakistan in 1996, a year after the formation of WTO. After the Uri attack in 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the MFN treatment accorded to Pakistan. Pakistan still hasn't granted India with MFN status.

The Lamborghini Huracan Evo boasts of a new design, better styling, added power and enhanced aerodynamics.

 

The Huracan EVO outputs 640 hp with 600 Nm of torque. With a dry weight of 1,422 kg accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and from 0-200 km/h in 9.0 seconds.

6. Income Tax returns to be processed within 24 hours and returns will be paid immediately 

7. All assessment and verification of IT returns will be done electronically, without any intervention by officials

8. GoM to suggest ways to reduce GST for house buyers 

9. Direct tax collections increased from Rs 6.38 trillion in 2013-14 to almost Rs 12 trillion

10. Tax base up from Rs 3.79 crore to 6.85 crore.
