Vodafone has forged a partnership with Micromax, wherein customers can own a 4G smartphone for Rs 999
Vodafone has jumped into the fray with its own most-affordable 4G phone priced at an 'effective price' of Rs. 999. Airtel recently tried to take on the competition with a smartphone rival priced at an 'effective price' of Rs. 1,399.
Much like the Airtel 4G smartphone where the company tied with Karbonn, Vodafone has tied up with Micromax for the Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra 4G smartphone.
With Bharat 2 Ultra, Micromax & Vodafone has applied almost the same strategy as Airtel and Karbonn did with the newly launch Karbonn A40 Indian 4G phone.
The Micromax Bharat-2 Ultra 4G smartphone will be available in India starting Nov first week.
According to the Vodafone offer, existing and new Vodafone customers will have to buy the Micromax Bharat-2 Ultra smartphone by paying Rs 2,899 and if they recharge at least Rs 150 per month for 36 months, Rs 1,900 will be returned as cashback.
At the end of 18 months, users will receive a cashback of Rs 900 and after another 18 months, a cashback of Rs 1,000, in their Vodafone M-Pesa wallets.

Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra features
- Coming to the features of Bharat-2 Ultra, it features a 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 512MB RAM. There's 4GB of storage. On the camera front, the handset sports a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front camera. The device comes with camera modes like scene detection, frame mode, and burst shots. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs a 1300mAh battery.
