Entertainment News: Topping the Forbes India Celebrity 100 List seems to have become a habit for Salman Khan.
On the back of ₹253.25 crore earned through his film releases, television appearances and brand endorsements between October 1, 2017 & September 30, 2018, the 52-year-old bachelor actor became India’s highest-paid celebrity on the list for the third consecutive year.
Interestingly, on the second spot is not an actor but a cricketer. With Rs 228.09 crore earnings, it’s Virat Kohli.
Actor Akshay Kumar (₹185 crore) climbs up a spot to No 3.
Actor Deepika Padukone at No 4 (₹112.8 crore) is the highest-earning woman celebrity & also becomes the first woman to break into the top five positions.
At No. 5 in Mahendra Singh Dhoni with total earnings worth Rs 101.77 crore.
The usual suspects — Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Sachin Tendulkar and Ajay Devgn follow next in the top 10 earners.
However, this year, only 18 women—including actors Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Taapsee Pannu, Nayanthara and ace shuttler PV Sindhu—have made it to the list. Last year, their number was 21.
