IPL 2020 Schedule: Date, time and venue of all matches

Season 13 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to begin on 29 March 2020 & the last league game of the IPL 2020 is scheduled on 17 May 2020.

IPL 2020 Full Schedule: The full schedule of the league phase of the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is out with all eight teams playing seven home and 7 away matches.

An additional week has been included at the league stage. So, instead of the 44-day league stage seen in the last outing, the upcoming season will now have a 50-day league session. This will make the IPL 2020 the longest in the tournament history.

The organisers have scrapped ‘double-header’ Saturdays, but Sundays will feature two matches this season.

Dates for the knockouts will be announced later.

Earlier, the IPL governing council had decided against changing timings of the night games from 8 pm to 7.30 pm despite pressure from a few stakeholders.

In a noble gesture, the BCCI will have an All Stars Game between all top international players before the start of IPL for a charitable cause.

Some joked that he can at least but a new screen-guard but his response is now winning the internet and it has given many fans a taste of how humble and modest he is.

He once said “Why would I want 10 Ferrari’s, 20 Diamond watches and 2 Jet Planes? What would that do for the world? I starved, I worked in the fields, I played barefoot, and I didn’t go to school. Now I can help people. I prefer to build schools and give poor people food or clothing. I have built schools [and] a stadium; we provide clothes, shoes, and food for people in extreme poverty. In addition, I give 70 euros per month to all people from a very poor Senegalese region in order to contribute to their family economy. I do not need to display luxury cars, luxury homes, trips, and even planes. I prefer that my people receive a little of what life has given me”

Samsung Galaxy S20 series has formally been launched at the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event in San Francisco, California.

There’s a new feature called Quick Share which lets you share content between two Galaxy phones in close proximity. Another common feature included is the punch-hole display in the top centre area which Samsung calls the Infinity-O display.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus: Price

• The Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G price is set at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 85,400) for the 128GB storage variant, whereas its 512GB storage option carries a price tag of $1,299 (roughly Rs. 92,500). The Galaxy S20+ 4G variant, on the other hand, is listed in Europe at EUR 999 (roughly Rs. 77,000) for the sole 128GB storage option.

• The phone comes in Cosmic Black, Cosmic Blue, and Cosmic Grey color models.

• A 6.7-inch Quad HD+(1,440×3,200 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with up 120Hz refresh rate support (for Full HD resolution only). The display is HDR10+ certified and has a pixel density 525 ppi.

• The Galaxy S20+ measures 161.9×73.7×7.8mm in dimensions and is heavier at 186 grams (188 grams for the 5G variant). It also has a slightly larger, 4,500mAh battery. The LTE version gets 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage while the 5G variant gets 12GB of RAM and choice of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of storage.

• Talking about the camera, the Galaxy S20 comes with a triple camera setup at the back while the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra offer quad cameras. The triple camera setup in the Galaxy S20 consists of 64MP telephoto with F2.0 aperture, 12MP Wide-angle with F1.8 aperture and 12MP ultra-wide with F2.2 aperture. There is a 3X hybrid optical zoom and digital zoom of up to 30X.

Samsung unveiled its 2020 flagship smartphones at a global event, which was held in San Francisco.

The first big phone launch of the year arrived from the house of Samsung, with the Korean tech giant unveiling the Galaxy S20 smartphone line-up that includes the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and the Galaxy S20 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip foldable phones.

Pricing: The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G price is set at $1,399 (roughly Rs. 99,600) for the 128GB storage model, while its 512GB storage option comes at $1,599 (roughly Rs. 1,13,900).

Colors: The phone has Cosmic Black and Cosmic Grey as the two colour options.

Display: It features a 6.9-inch QHD Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a pixel count of 511ppi.

Battery: The battery capacity has also been bumped up to 5,000mAh. The Galaxy S20 Ultra also supports 45W fast charging, through the optional adapter.

Camera: The primary camera is a 108-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, OIS, PDAF and you get a 48-megapixel telephoto camera with a f/3.5 aperture, PDAF, OIS. The Galaxy S20 Ultra also features a new periscope-style telephoto lens, which allows it to achieve 10x hybrid optical zoom and maximum ‘Super Resolution Zoom’ of up to 100x. The front camera is also a 40-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.

Unlike the Galaxy Fold which unfolded to a tablet-sized screen the Z Flip is a regular-sized phone that folds to a tiny size.

The Z Flip is Samsung’s first shot at getting a foldable right after the messy launch of last year’s Galaxy Fold. The Z Flip has a few key differences: it folds open and closed like a classic clamshell phone, rather than like a book.

It’s built around a super tall 22:9 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED. It employs Ultra Thin Glass layer on top, so it should be far more resistant to scratches. The resolution is 1080x2636px, which add up to just over 50% more pixels.

The Galaxy Z Flip also has a 1.1″ secondary Super AMOLED positioned on the back of its cover so you can see your notification at a glance. Inside is a Snapdragon 855 Plus, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 3,300mAh “dual” battery.

The phone will be available in the US and Korea starting February 14th for $1,380.

RIP Windows 7

Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows 7. That means no more software updates, security fixes or patches, or technical support. It is dead, an ex-operating system if you will. 

Microsoft officially ends support to Windows 7 after a decade. The popular OS that continues to run on millions of devices globally. Meanwhile, Microsoft has also urged Windows 7 users to make an upgrade to Windows 10 to enjoy new features and continued support.

To encourage users to upgrade to the newer Windows 10 platform, Microsoft is offering a free year of post-retirement updates to Windows 7 customers with active Windows 10 subscriptions.

What does this mean?

• Microsoft will no longer provide updates or security patches for the 11-year-old operating system, and the hundreds of millions of PCs still using it are vulnerable to attack. One-third of PCs around the world run Windows 7.

What must you do next?

1. Upgrade your existing equipment to Windows 10: To check if your computer will be able to run Windows 10, Microsoft has published a compatibility guide that will help you determine whether your specifications meet the minimums for the latest version of Windows. For example, your PC needs at least 32 GB of hard drive storage space, 1 GB of RAM and a processor with a clock speed of at least 1 GHz.

2. Buy a new computer/laptop: If your system does not support Windows 10, buy a new one.

3. If you don’t take any of the above-mentioned steps, here’s what you must know: Google Chrome said it will continue providing updates to browsers running on Windows 7 PCs until July 2021. So, while you may keep using Windows 7 till then, remember to keep updating your browser.
